More. Or in our local Turkish: “büyük.” It’s a remarkable word that describes our ambitions at Getir, and how we like to operate as an awesome people organization. More goals. More innovation. More creativity. More humans to join our team. Our aspiration to address more people was the underlying reason behind GetirBüyük (a.k.a GetirMore), a startup within the Getir startup. GetirMore differentiates itself with more product selection, more competitive prices, and more coverage, ultimately allowing us to provide that Getir experience to more people throughout Turkey. GetirMore has expanded extensively, and will continue to do so. That expansion also requires that the GetirMore team operate relatively independently, at their own unique pace, overcoming the challenges they face while also coming up with new best practices that will be adopted throughout the company. The GetirMore team has grown to the point where it seeks an awesome human to join the team and carry the marketing flag for the team, serving as its first Head of Marketing.
What You’ll Do
- Further build and develop a team that consistently maintains a disruptive GetirMore mentality and does not limit themselves to what has been done so far at Getir.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies that find that perfect balance between utilizing (and benefiting from!) the existing Getir brand and slightly forming your own unique brand in GetirMore.
- Work hand-in-hand with the Expansion and Operations Team to roll out locally-relevant strategies for GetirMore’s new coverage areas, whether it’s new areas within cities or entirely new cities.
- Be you. Bring your personality and humanity to work, not just your skills and experience. That makes us better.
- Bring your relevant experience to the table, but also question it whenever necessary, asking yourself the question: “could there be a better, different way of doing this at Getir?”
- More than significant experience in Marketing, preferably in areas such as grocery retailers, relevant startups, and logistics.
- Very high English proficiency. We’re soon launching internationally and a lot of internal communication is already in English.
- University degrees are cool. Especially if you really made the best out of whatever you were passionate about in university.
- That hard-to-quantify, yet incredibly valuable leadership trait. You’ll be inspired at Getir, but also be expected to inspire through thoughtful leadership.
- A can-do, will-do-and-succeed mentality.
- A passion for challenging established norms and best practices, and the will to take risk in doing things differently in order to create unexpected delightful results.
